Operational Efficiency Consultancy in Barcelona

Before we propose any automation, we map your processes, measure where the time actually goes and prioritise by impact and effort.

Many businesses come to us thinking they need 'AI' or 'automation', when the real problem is a badly designed process, a task duplicated between two people, or a tool nobody uses properly. Automating an inefficient process just makes the mistake happen faster.

That's why the consultancy always starts with a diagnostic: we map the process as it actually runs today (not as it should run), measure the real time each person spends on it, and prioritise improvements by the impact they would have against the effort they would take.

The outcome isn't always an automation. Sometimes the recommendation is to change one step of the process, train the team on a tool they already own, or simply leave things as they are because the cost of changing them outweighs the benefit.

Methodology and deliverables

Process map

We document the process as it is genuinely carried out, including every step, the people involved and the tools used at each point.

Real time measurement

We estimate how many hours go into each step, using existing data or direct observation, so decisions aren't based on guesswork.

Prioritisation by impact and effort

We rank improvement opportunities by how much time or error they save against how much they would cost to implement.

  • Impact / effort matrix
  • Quick wins first
  • Explicit discarding of what doesn't pay off

What the free 2-hour diagnostic includes

A session to understand the process that concerns you, spot the most obvious friction points and assess whether it's worth going further.

  • Conversation about the current process
  • Initial improvement hypotheses
  • Recommendation on whether to move to a pilot

What's not included in the free diagnostic

It doesn't include a full process map, the implementation of any change, or access to your systems. Those belong to later phases, if you decide to continue.

When automation isn't the answer

If the volume of work is low, the process is about to change, or the cost of maintaining an automation would outweigh the savings, we say so clearly, even if it means we don't get any further work from it.

Frequently asked questions

Is the free diagnostic really free?

Yes, it's 2 hours at no cost and with no obligation to hire anything afterwards. The goal is to understand the process and give a first recommendation.

How do you measure the real time spent on a process?

Using data that already exists (logs, tickets, spreadsheets) or through observation and short interviews with the people who do the work.

What happens if you conclude that no automation is needed?

We say so regardless. The process might just need a simple organisational change, or the volume might not justify the investment.

How are results measured after an improvement?

By comparing the time or errors measured before with those measured after the change, on the same tasks and over a similar period.

Is the diagnostic suitable for any size of business?

It's designed for SMEs and freelancers. For very small processes, the diagnostic itself may already give you the answer without needing a later phase.
